Did you know that there is ONE Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house in Oregon? And it’s not where it used to be! The Gordon House (pictured) was built along the Willamette River near Wilsonville and then in 2001 the then-owners intended to DESTROY it. (WHY?!) Long story short, the Frank Lloyd Wright Conservancy arranged to dismantle and MOVE it to its current location: the Oregon Garden in Silverton.
And now you can visit it in a day trip. Admission is $12 to the Oregon Garden. Check ahead to see if the Gordon House is available for viewing or arrange a tour. Or make a weekend trip of it and book a room at the Oregon Garden Resort. Check out the neat package deals (like dinner or movies) that include admission to the Garden.
