One of the greatest movies of all time…

“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” will be playing at the Laurelhurst Theater starting tomorrow at 6:30pm. Don’t let the black and white scare you off…this 1966 movie (based on the Edward Albee play) zips along right from the start and is smarter, funnier, and darker than every Hollywood movie made nowadays. Squirm and laugh while Elizabeth Taylor spars with Richard Burton in front of their wide-eyed visitors!

The Laurelhurst Theater (at E Burnside and 28th Ave.) does a really great job curating second-run movies plus older films, making it a fun way to explore classic cinema on the big screen. They seem to have a throwback film every week such as works by Hitchcock, Kubrick, or classic Arnolds (like “Commando”!!!) Plus, $4 admission, beer and pizza.
