The Portland Marathon is October 9 so whether you’re in training or just a casual jogger looking for new scenery, I’m going to post some of my favorite running spots over the next few months:
Today I suggest the Willamette Waterfront. The hordes of serious runners can make this loop look intimidating but it really isn’t. The Steel Bridge to Hawthorne Bridge loop is 2.5 miles. Perfect for beginners. Or double it and you’ve got a major workout. Want 10+ miles? Extend it to the Sellwood Bridge! (pictured)
If you’re driving to get to this run, there’s ample parking on the SE industrial area just north of OMSI.
