The Spring buyer’s frenzy began in … January?!

This recent article in the Oregonian was fascinating but not surprising. Bidding wars on many moderately-sized houses have begun, namely, a 1 bed-1 bath in Kenton (North Portland) that went for 23% over the asking price! Listed at $249,900 … sold for $307,500.  (And one-bedrooms can sometimes be trickier to sell.) And the bidding wars are happening all over the place as every single neighborhood in Portland and the surrounding areas has a perk or 20. Basically, now is a great time to prepare your house for a sale in the red-hot Spring!
